The season with Rob and Amber was good. I can't recall which season had this fellow that they nicknamed 'Johnny Rotten' in, but he made the series for me. He was just such a devioous, lying little shit. When everybody started to hate him a friend came on the show to tell him his grandmother had just died in real life, so he got all this sympathy... except he'd staged the whole thing before the show even started (the friend fibbing to him, not the grandma dying, that would have been going a bit far :p). I'm kind of surprised to find out the Gabon season is considered a bit weak but now I'm really looking forward to watching more of the first few seasons. I haven't watched the last few seasons at all, but I totally suggest you watch the first few seasons for sure. I think the season in Africa was one of my favourites - they didn't have it very easy in terms of food and water supply. It made living on a tropical island look pretty amazing by comparison. And as much as I hate them, watch the season with Rob and Amber. They redefined the series and really turned it into the game you are seeing today. Survivor is a great series. I think Gabon is okay in comparison. Although the only participant I like is Bob, I love that the ones who thought they were so superior got that their butts handed to them in succession. I did a few Survivor/Big Brother simulations using The Sims back in the day. You put Sims together in a house with no doors and just keep the lights on and food coming. It was hysterical to see what the AI controlled personalities did over time. Some players even allowed you to vote on who to kick out of their house at the end of each week. The last few Episodes of Gabon have been really good, if not some of the best of any of the seasons. Fake idols, blindsides, good vs evil.
