Of course, even things like this blatantly shoving the fact that America’s democracy is a joke into the face of its citizens will probably never be enough to make them stand up and take notice of that fact. Or, more importantly, do anything about it.

But, as my father constantly says to remind me just how much responsibility I had in nearly every situation that goes wrong (to my infinite annoyance), “So, whose fault is that?”. If you’re not interested in protecting your valuables, someone will generally take them from you. Please keep that in mind today, and every day, America.

The process of how we choose a leader is a lot more important and long-term than any individual leader himself/herself, so if someone has to lose to preserve some semblance of overall fairness (as opposed to fairness once you’re in the election), so be it.

And, as long as it is fair election, we should not have a bias about one’s past or family history.
