I’ll just say that after a couple hours of play, I’m very impressed. It’s very standard in terms of game-play but it’s executed incredibly well and it’s clear there’s a story I’m likely to be interested in that lies behind everything I’ve encountered so far. I don’t tend to love FPS games all that much and while the mechanics of Bioshock are so far not really different from your standard FPS the wrapping is so lovely that it feels a lot more like a next-gen take on a great adventure game.

Only four more hours (about) until my demo is downloaded!

You will cry when you find out how awesome it is and then find out you can’t save in the demo.

Why would you need to save in the demo? C’mon!

Well, because once I played during the demo I was hoping to continue on with the full game once it came out, not start over. Not a big deal of course, except that I was very eager to get on with it.

Ahh, that’s fair. The demo was short enough though that playing through what it covered wasn’t much of a problem. I was just giddy the first time I found out I could hack into the security bots.

Just goes to show you. If your plane wrecks and you don’t know where you are, activating a bathysphere probably isn’t the best course of action.
The game looks amazing, but its not my type of game. Too creepy *holds his Viva Pinata disc*

So good, enormously scary, incredibly lifelike environmental storytelling. Don’t play it before bed (like I did ;_;)

Yeah, I played System Shock 2, its predecessor and was amazed that a game actually made me leap out of my seat. I’ve got this on reserve when I get back home, so can’t wait to see it when I arrive.
