It's the great games, and they didn't toss in extra things that raise the price of the hardware either. Apparently people don't know about DVD/Blu-Ray playback on those consoles anyway... I'm full aware of the functionalities of my machines, but I don't even have an HD TV yet to take advantage of it (though if money weren't an option I would have one!). It is, as you said, really about the games. That’s part of the reason the Wii is selling so well.
