If you’ve not seen the announcement that Lego’s MMO will be called Lego Universe, here it is!
I don’t know why, especially given that few concrete details about it have been released that just sounds like fun. Kotaku opines that this could be the next big MMO and I’m tempted to agree, though it’s a long ways between now and Q4 2008.

As a kid I was extremely addicted to Lego. I seriously played with it till deep in the nights (in secret
). I thank my early addiction for my spatial visualization abilities and problem solving which I encounter every day in my work.
Now that I moved to Denmark, I finally have the possibility to visit Lego Land. Though I have yet to find someone who wants to join me

Oh man, if I’m ever in Denmark while you’re still living there, we are SO going to Lego Land!

My collection of Star Wars Lego occupies five shelves in my apartment. This news just made my week.

What’s the equation?
Lego Universe = SL + Webkids + Fun + PG13?
What’s the unique selling point?
Buy a Star Wars Lego set get one just like it online? Have a collection that span 5 shelves? Why not have it online version of it in your Lego-ized Crib?
Sounds like a winner

I’d imagine it will not be much like SL. It’s not exactly a raging consumer success after all.
