We released the first video for Earth Eternal today! It shows three of our NPCs (Dragon, Treekin, Shroomie) and a Feline (one of our sixteen player races) geared up for battle. It all takes place in a test area and shadows are off so don’t be too harsh on the environment, which isn’t the point in the video. We just hope this gives a sense of the ‘flavor’ that EE’s characters will have.

Stunning. You’re going to have to keep careful track of your Gods in all the games to make sure their productivity doesn’t fade because they’re playing EE in another window

An EE update here is a good reminder for me to read any and all developer posts on EE forums that have appeared since the last time.
Commented on the video there. It’s interestingly also the first EE piece on Youtube, AFAIK. Go go viral marketing. Should I be worried that the first “related” video that Youtube offers me is Sailor Moon 1/3? Hehe. The algorithm is also offering several Empire Earth vids.

All the quadruped animals share the same movement animation? Your dragon looks like galloping horse.

Nope. The Dragon uses its own skeleton.

I predict Furries and the accompanying mods.
Still a great achievement though, Matt.

That looks amazingly good for what you allege to be a low budget MMO. I’m quite excited to check it out when it eventually becomes playable (hopefully in the beta, failing that, at release).
Any chance you’ll give posters here on your blog priority access to the beta? =)

It is a low-budget MMO I tell you. Under a million.
Forum posters are likely to get priority access to the beta…. forums.eartheternal.com
